War Journal Entry #-26.9: Brrrr.
Found out some stuff about the cold weather chamber testing that we're going to do down here, mainly how cold it'll be.

105 below zero.

... It's going to be a tad nippy in there. I better bring a coat. :P

Well, every though the equipment automatically puts itself into cold weather ops at around 18 degrees, the civilian testers (who are pretty much running the entire show) are going to make it that low "As so to test the equipment in the most extreme of colds...."

IE: "We're making it that cold because WE CAN."

On the plus side though: I'm getting the "Only the troops up in Alaska and Antartica get this stuff" extreme cold weather gear, and I get to watch the Air Force freeze their parts off. (Our equipment is all inside a shelter. Theirs is either carried or on a trailer, all in the open. :P)

And there is one thing I am going to do, if I can get away with it... (See the response to Rik.)

I've heard...

...that at that tempature, if you spit, it *clinks* when it hits the ground, it gets frozen so fast.

Re: I've heard...

Dammit, that's the plan. I want to see if that'll happen IRL. :P
