Current temperature in Hell: 32 and dropping.

I'm not really a Red Sox fan, but tonight everyone seems to be one. (Unless you live in St. Louis. And New York. :P) And as I was listening to the game at work tonight, there were a lot of things that seemed to fall into place.

They're first team ever to be 0-3 and force a game seven. And the first to win it.

They're first team to win 8 straight in the post-season.

The first lunar eclipse during a World Series game in god-knows-how-long. And probably the first to happen either during the last game and right at the end. (Don't know, haven't checked.)

And on this, the 100th World Series, everything came together. And one thing can be said:
Oh snap, it's Big O-rtiz!

Yeah, I'm posting that again. Bite me.

But in all honesty, even though the Curse of the Bambino is gone, I don't believe that Ruth either meant to curse Boston, nor is he spinning in his grave. I believe that he is smiling right now because Boston won the championship. Because he may have started the Yankees to becoming the winningest team in MLB, but he was a Red Sox first.

... Now, if the Cubs can kill their curse.... :P

PS: And to anyone in Boston: ... Get me a HDTV. I know the lootings has begun, and goddamn it, I want something! :P
