The end, or the Superbowl Shuffle '07 remix? - RJ's LJ - WTF is my way of life.
I've been on the 'net longer that some of you've been ALIVE.
The end, or the Superbowl Shuffle '07 remix?
So Da Bears are in the NFC championship for the first time since the '85 season, and against the New Orleans Saints. As a Bears fan, I hope they win.

As someone who knows the facts, I don't believe they'll win. The Saints' stats are top notch, especially in offense. (#1 in the NFL.) The Bears Defense is the top in the NFC, and one of the best special teams in the league. However, the Bears A-game hasn't really been there the past few games. Unless they can get their head out of their asses, the Saints'll be going to Miami.

... But if the Bears do win, I'm betting money on the Patriots to win in Indy. Then it's proof positive that the NFL's rigged. :P

Side note: Both the Bears and the Saints were formerly coached by Mike Ditka. And with the hurricane last year, I can't help but think of another old SNL skit, this time from the Superfans:

Bob: If I may shift gears for a moment gentleman, coach Ditka vs. a hurricane, who would win?
Todd, Pat, Carl: Ditka, Ditka!!
Bob: Hold on, hold on, hold on. The name of the hurricane is Hurricane Ditka. (Todd begins to pound chest)..... Is everything ok?
Todd: No problem, just having a heart attack. (Pounds Chest)...... Almost over! Done. Done.

I can't lay the NFL's rigging on the outcome of the AFC game; it's been proven time and time again, Manning can't hack it in the postseason. His only chance this time is the fact that he's playing against the weakest Pats squad seen in many a moon (and on artificial turf.) I honestly have to say I like the Bears' chances, especially since they'll be at home as well.

I dunno, if I were rigging NFL games I'd give the championship to New Orleans on account of all the city has been through in the last year and a half. Pretty much everyone outside of Chicago, Indy, and the northeast is rooting for them.
