And I'm not talking about the lawsuits, nor whatever you do for taxable (or non-taxable) income. I'm talking about your MAD PARENTING SKILLZ, or lack of.
Let's take a look at the current situation: Parents are suing companies because either your kid/s is a/are moron/s, or because someone else's kid's is a moron. (or plural.)
Why? Is suing someone with more money than you going undo your idiot of a son/daughter from jumping a car, setting himself on fire, shooting up a school, or bring him/her back from the dead? Or will it make up for the very crappy job you did as parents?
No. No. NonoNONO FUCKING HELL NO. AND IF YOU THINK OTHERWISE, GO OUT AND STEP IN FRONT OF A TRAIN SO THIS WORLD HAS ONE LESS IDIOT INFESTING IT, AND AS TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T BREED ANYMORE MORONIC CHILDREN. (And take any kids you have had already with you, and kill a few birds with one friggin' big stone.)
For Christ's sakes, WHERE WERE the parents when the dipshit of a teenager in Kentucky tried jumping the car? Or the one who set himself on fire? Honestly, if you don't worry about what you child is doing, where they are, who there with, or why they're doing it when you don't know at least one of those, you are a *sorry excuse for a parent.*
And if you didn't smack these kids after you found out that they were all right and that they have no life threatening injuries, then you have gone beyond 'sorry excuse' to 'piles of worthless shit.'
And what about the Columbine parents currently suing so many game manufactures that I'm not going to list them? 'Boo-hoo, my kid is dead. Now that the standard grieving period is over, let's make a shitload of money of his/her death!' That stuff honestly makes me sick. You child is dead, nothing will bring them back, nothing will fill the void that was him/her, and suing the makes of 'Uber-K3\/\/l-killing-spree 8!' isn't going to stop the next dumb fucker from shooting up his school.
Actually teaching your kids 'pumping someone's head and upper body full of lead is wrong.' 'Bullying someone to the point where they might just crack.' 'Jumping a car is stupid and dangerous.' and whatever else you might think is right and wrong, along with other basic morals and beliefs will make it stop.
It's called parenting. When you have a kid, you kinda get forced into doing it.
Teach your son(s) and/or daughter(s) what is, in your views and beliefs, right and what is wrong, what is good and bad, what is dangerous, the whole nine yards. They probably won't have the same exact same views and beliefs, but they'll have a base to build on, and they'll know a hell of a lot more and be better off than some smuck testing his dad's new semi-automatic in the school's cafeteria.
Basically, what I'm saying is this:
Now go back to your kids.
